 Continuous Growth and Learning Opportunities

Start your Career with us: Campus Recruitment

Over the last 25+ years, we have been hiring graduates handpicked by our team, led by our Director, Mekhala Devaraj. Learn how we approach our process, from assessments to internships to hiring.

We conduct campus recruitment across 10 colleges in five cities every year. We have seven rounds of tests and interviews and over the years, have gained the reputation of being one of the toughest campus recruitments to crack. Unlike most companies, we believe in investing in the capabilities of our fresh recruits before assigning them to a project. We have spent years building a highly specialized 3-5-month internship program that combines technical and personality development to maximize each recruit’s potential and set them up for success in the practical world of engineering.

Start your Career with us: Campus Recruitment

What to Expect?

We believe skill sets can be learned as required, but a person’s attitude reflects deep-rooted values that drive every action. Hence, Soliton’s recruitment mantra has been ‘filter based on talent, hire for attitude'.

A paper-pen test that tests engineering fundamentals and logical problem-solving abilities.

A Coding/ programming assignment.

A Technical interview to understand the depth of the candidate’s knowledge and application.

A Culture interview to assess the candidate’s cultural fit into the company. We look for candidate's that align with our values of Respect, Integrity, Excellence and Innovation

A design round to assess the logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and structured problem-solving abilities. The round also examines candidates' ability to design scalable, efficient, and user-centric solutions. The candidate is also required to present their design and thought process and justify their approach. We pick candidates who can think beyond standard textbook approaches.

Join us as an intern.

Campus recruits first undergo an intensive internship program to ensure they are equipped with the technical and personal tools to succeed in their first venture into the professional world.

Campus recruits who successfully pass all seven rounds of tests and interviews will be handed an Internship Offer. The internship is a 3-5 month intensive learning program that will build the recruit’s personal and technical capacity to succeed in their role. This will be done through self-paced learning, classroom sessions, project simulations, mentoring, and live project experience. Our foremost priority is for interns to understand how Solitons work. Throughout the internship, there are several opportunities to work with Solitons and to understand the company's culture and how it subtly influences the way we work. On successful completion of the internship program, the candidate will receive their job offer.

Internship at Soliton

What to Expect?

The intern is placed at the very center of this program, and their technical and personal development is the only focus during this period. Candidates with a go-getter attitude and a hunger to learn excel in the internship program.

Technical Foundation

In the beginning, each intern is asked to choose up to two preferences in their technical skill training. The first two months are spent building a strong foundation in their chosen tech stack. This can be LabVIEW, Python, C#. Whatever the tech stack, the intern understands clean code practices and the basics of computer architecture. Interns go on to learn at least two different tech stacks during this period.

01

Learning with Our Senior Engineers

Interns are grouped and assigned a senior engineer who becomes their learning partner for the next two months. Each intern is assigned a mentor who guides them through the learning sessions on a 1-1 basis.

02

Leadership Interactions

Interns get to periodically have conversations with senior leadership and have an open Q&A about whatever they wish to know more about.

03

Personality Development

We build an element of personal development into every assignment – be it building confidence, understanding one’s own strengths and weaknesses, or the capacity to ask for help when needed. Our aim is to help each intern strive for excellence with integrity and respect for all stakeholders.

04

Project Simulation

In the second phase, the interns go through a project simulation. Interns learn to apply their skills and also come to understand other important aspects of project engineering, such as planning, risk assessment, communication, and quality, through group discussions.

05

Experienced professionals and alumni.

We welcome senior and experienced talent who look to take the initiative and create an impact on our engineering and business goals. Learn more about our recruitment process and what you can expect.

We have great opportunities for seasoned professionals and Soliton alumni. Lateral recruits find greater autonomy with our ‘freedom with responsibility’ culture that allows more exposure to the business impacts of their work as well as greater flexibility. We are always happy to welcome an ex-Soliton back into the family! Rest assured, you will find it easier to navigate through the hiring process.

05

What our people say.

Life at Soliton, in their own words.

Working at Soliton Technologies has been a journey I never expected when I first started. As a young engineer, I’ve been welcomed by a team that truly cares about my growth. The culture here is something special. Everyone here works with passion and heart which is truly inspiring. It’s not just about engineering here, it’s about growing together, turning ideas into reality, and creating something much bigger than ourselves. One of the most humbling moments I’ve had was sitting down with the CEO, who took the time to ask me and my friends the young engineers - 'How can we grow together?' It’s moments like that that remind me how rare it is to work in a place where every voice truly matters. At Soliton Technologies, one of the things that truly stands out is how everyone is always there to help, no matter what. Whether it's a tough task at work or something personal, there’s always someone ready to offer support. It's not just about getting the job done, it's about making sure you're okay every step of the way. The people here genuinely cares. It's the kind of environment that makes you feel supported and valued, both as an engineer and as a person.

According to me what makes Soliton Technologies truly special are the people, the growth, and the love for engineering.

Before stepping into actual projects, we went through a project simulation that mirrored real-world scenarios. We had a chance to learn how an actual project works by understanding the requirements and carrying out activities. Our mentors role-played as customers to help us better grasp project dynamics. This simulation was a game-changer, ensuring I was not just ready, but truly equipped for the complexities of professional projects.

Soliton’s training isn’t just about technical knowledge. It’s about thinking like an engineer. We weren’t given solutions. We were encouraged to find them. Instead of memorizing concepts, we were taught how to approach and solve problems. Looking back, I realize this approach made all the difference. It shaped how I approach challenges today as a Soliton.

I always look forward to passing on the same experience that I had when I joined Soliton. Help new Solitons understand how things work around here, make sure they feel important and show them how they make an impact too. The most important part is passing on what our culture is all about, how we are with people and how we set up the environment at Soliton to be transparent and open so that anyone can share their thoughts, regardless of seniority and position.

One of the most surprising yet rewarding aspects of my internship was realizing how like-minded we all were. Within a week, the 40+ of us coming from different colleges felt like a close-knit group. The collaborative culture made learning natural, and every question asked was a question that had been on someone else’s mind. That shared mindset accelerated our growth.

Initially when I joined Soliton I was overwhelmed by the number of people in the company as I came from a small organization. But everyone in Soliton is kind and warm. I have also had several opportunities to learn a lot from the projects running in Soliton. My knowledge base grew 10x after I joined here, and I am able to work to my heart's content on my projects. In Soliton I can always bring my idea forward and it never gets ignored. All my ideas are always welcomed and discussed to help improve in places that need them.” “I have become a member of Soliton’s volunteering team and I'm grateful to be in a position to help people in need with the help of the Soliton team. I feel my work life balance has become extraordinary in the past two years since joining Soliton. And overall, I am glad I picked Soliton over my other offers.

Soliton has supported me on multiple occasions from my pregnancy until now. During my pregnancy I had a minor medical complication and I wanted to work at 50% capacity for a month. And I remember I just wrote an email to the entire team stating my situation and that I wanted to take care of my health and there were no questions asked. Everyone came forward and they accommodated my partial presence. Later when I went into my maternity break, just a month into the break, I was promoted to Senior Technical Lead position. I don't know if any other company would do this. Because I know my friend working in another company who was not even considered for salary revision, forget promotion, since she had to go on a maternity break in a few months. There were also small gestures that made me feel connected to the company throughout my break - sending sweets home during Diwali, a small toy for my child as a Christmas gift, etc. - all these made me feel like the company remembered me. Even though I was on break, I was not forgotten. That's the sense I got, and it was quite pampering. When I wanted to join back, I received all the flexibility in the world to make me comfortable. From flexible work timings, work hours and workload, I was given the liberty to try out what worked for me. I am always grateful and blessed to be with Soliton in my career.

One of the things that I've come to really like at Soliton is that there is no judgement from people and don't discriminate or prefer a particular group of people. Those sorts of practices are never established here. From the very first day, everyone's mindset is always set towards getting to know the team. And when there is no judgment, I find that things that take a couple of months or to a year, can happen in weeks. Soliton is the first company I have worked in, and the skills to navigate people's judgment and politics, is something I never developed, nor interested in learning. I consider that a waste of time. I can spend all my energy just focusing on my best work. That is what gives me satisfaction and allows me to grow.

Soliton has always made me feel that I matter to this organization and that my thoughts and feelings are valued both at a team and organizational level.
