Soliton Technologies announces the transition of its CEO, Dr. Ganesh Devaraj, to the Executive Chairman’s role, and the appointment of its Director of Engineering, Arjun Sathiyaseelan, as the new CEO, effective from 1st April 2023.  

Explaining the motivation and decision Ganesh said, “For many years, I have had a keen interest and a desire to work on improving education in India, especially engineering education, but was not able to make time for it while being the CEO. In December 2021, I made the decision, in consultation with the senior leadership team, that Arjun would take over as the CEO from the start of the 2023-24 fiscal year.  

Arjun was a natural choice to take over as CEO because of the hugely positive impact that he has made in Soliton over the 10 years he has been here. He has won the trust of all people through his frank, no-hidden-agendas approach, and demonstrated the grit to work through difficult situations with perseverance and a ‘can and must do’ spirit.  

Arjun will be complimented by a strong senior leadership team, each of whom has been with Soliton for more than 10 years and have a deep understanding of Soliton’s business and culture.” 

Arjun has more than 20 years of experience in the software Industry, with a heavy focus on Enterprise Software development. After his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chennai, he did his MSE in Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University and then worked in various organizations in the US. He also completed his MBA before relocating to India in 2013. He joined Soliton Technologies as a Solution Architect and built the Web Technologies capabilities in Soliton from scratch, which contributes about half of Soliton’s revenue today. He consistently grew within the organization taking progressively higher responsibilities over the past ten years and was the “Director of Engineering” before taking over as the CEO.  

Talking about what lies ahead for Soliton, Arjun mentioned, “Soliton has the potential to develop and showcase a better model for the software services industry by being hyper-focused on a key metric that we call ‘Soliton Delight’. This metric is a combination of Customer Delight, Team Delight, and Stakeholder Delight.
