Platforms Approach and Global Delivery Model
The majority of the work that Soliton does combines the platforms approach and the global delivery model. We help our customers standardize and implement purpose-built platforms and solutions that improve their engineering productivity across various stages of the product development lifecycle. By deploying the right mix of onsite Project Managers and Solution Architects and offsite developers, we ensure that our customers have the best of both worlds – interact face to face with the project manager and architect, while getting the benefit of the availability and cost-effectiveness of the software development team in India. We have used and refined this model over the past 18 years and have near certain success rate.
Multidisciplinary Systems Engineering
Soliton has a range of engineering skillsets for system design: electronic hardware design, embedded firmware and software, sensor and actuator interfacing, signal/image processing and control, computer vision and machine learning, algorithm development and optimization, wired and wireless communication, cloud connectivity and cloud computing, big data and data analytics, web and mobile application development. Our multidisciplinary engineering teams regularly work together to successfully complete complex systems engineering projects. This is a rare set of capabilities under one roof.
HISTORY
1997
The Beginning
While working in the US, Ganesh read the book ‘Built to Last’ and was deeply inspired to build an innovative technology company like SONY and HP in India. He returned to his hometown Coimbatore to start Soliton.
1998
NI Alliance Partner
Soliton got approved as the first National Instruments Alliance Member in India
2000 - 2004
Awards & Recognition
Developed world-class Test & Measurement Automation and Machine Vision capabilities and won the NIWeek Best Applications Contest, the most prestigious global award for LabVIEW based measurement and automation solutions, a record 3 times.
2005, 2007
India's first industrial cameras
Launched India’s first indigenously designed and manufactured industrial machine vision camera and smart camera respectively.
2006
Foray into Semiconductors
Started working with the semiconductor industry providing LabVIEW and TestStand based automation solutions for post-silicon validation of wireless, analog and mixed signal devices.
2011
Embedded Services
Added FPGA design and embedded systems design services for the development of semiconductor chip validation platforms (for high-speed data converters, etc.) and GUI development services for chip evaluation
2013 - 2014
Web Tech & Data Analytics
Added web technologies, computer vision, machine learning, and data analytics divisions; developed end-to-end IoT product design capabilities
2015 - 2016
Semiconductor Excellence Awards
Received the Texas Instruments Supplier Excellence Award and Frost & Sullivan Customer Value Leadership Award for Post-Silicon Validation Solutions
